Logdoor
The Logdoor program gives you a way to see what games are being
played via the Monitor program (Doorware version).
This program requires that you use a version of Monitor of 0688
or higher to work correctly.
The monitor program has a software switch in it which will detect
that you are using the Logdoor program, therefore the logdoor
MUST be in the same directory\sub-directory as the monitor
program.
The logdoor program creates two(2) files:
LOGDOR.DAT
LOGDOR.FIL
The Logdor.dat file is created by the monitor program is is the
record of what programs have been run by the monitor and how many
people have used the monitor. his file is ereased each time the
logdoor program is run AFTER its data is logged in the Logdor.fil
file.
The Logdor.fil fil is created and updated by running the logdoor
program and is never ereased via software.
Each time logdoor is run it will give you how many times a
program has been run, how many times it could not find a program,
how many users have used monitor and the average number of users
per day. This is a NEVER ending total and can be restarted only
by deleting the file LOGDOR.FIL which will start the totals all
over.
You may put this program in your GAMES.DOR file just like any
other program ans set it up to be run by your users or just by
you by setting the security level to sysop only.
ADDED FEATURE!!!
You can run this program from a batch file at the same time each
night (if your bbs will allow this type of operation, such as
QuickBBS or Biunkley Events) by calling the program as follows:
LOGDOOR Z
The "Z" on the makes the program just update the files and not
put anything out to the port.
Any improvements you can think of please forward them to me.
